Mariah Carey won’t be going to space: “I think I’ve done enough”

The music superstar apparently had no idea Katy Perry went into space. 

That’s one small step for Katy, and one giant no from Mariah. 

While speaking to BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Thursday, music superstar Mariah Carey turned down the idea that she would follow in the steps of female astronaut (and sometimes fellow singer) Katy Perry and take a trip to space. 

“Would you fancy going to space? You know, like Katy Perry did?” Mills asked her. 

“Did she go to space?” Carey asked, apparently unaware of Perry’s April trip on a rocket operated by Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ aerospace venture. 

“Not for long,” Mills responded. 

“And this is true?” Carey asked, still in disbelief about the pop stars’ galactic sojourn. 

“I’ve not made this up, this is true,” Mills responded. “Would you do it?” he eventually asked Carey again. 

“I think I’ve done enough,” Carey responded.
