Azerbaijan launches search for its Eurovision 2026 representative
Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, Azerbaijan’s official broadcaster, has announced the launch of the selection process to choose the artist and song that will represent the country at Eurovision Song Contest 2026, to be held in Vienna.
According to the announcement, performers wishing to take part in the selection are invited to submit their applications together with a completed song by 18 January to [email protected]. Submitted entries must comply with the official rules of the competition and must not exceed three minutes in length.
Under the rules of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the proposed song must not have been released for commercial purposes or made publicly available via television, radio, or online platforms before 1 September 2025. Applications must also include a brief biographical note about the performer.
Public Television stated that applications failing to meet the specified criteria will be deemed invalid. The broadcaster also reserves the right to make edits or introduce changes to the selected song.
