Actor Neil Patrick Harris met his husband David Burtka back in 2004, and the two have been in love ever since then. They got married in 2014, but more than a decade had passed since their first date.
Neil Patrick Harris recently reflected on their 16-year lasting relationship on the anniversary of their first date. The How I Met Your Mother star shared a loving Instagram post with an even more adorable caption:
“I went on a date with this handsome dude 16 years ago and, well, I never left. Thanks for the countless adventures. There is no one I’d rather be sequestered with than you.“
David Burtka also shared a sweet photo of the two of them for their anniversary, and he wrote that even though this hasn’t been the most romantic anniversary, it has certainly been one of the most memorable. He also added that there’s no one else he would rather have for his quarantine.
