The Kekalove Adaptive brand supports inclusion

Kekalove Adaptive is a social business and has been operating since 2019. Its purpose is to create comfortable and fashionable clothes for people with disabilities. Kekalove is an international winner of the Adaptive Creative Spark Big Idea business competition and a 2020 graduate of Yunus & Youth social business accelerator.

This year, the brand painted its logo in the color of the rainbow on the occasion of the Month of Pride. The founder of the brand, Mahammad Kekalov, told Minority Azerbaijan: “The main goal of our brand is to promote inclusion. There are also LGBTQs + among people with disabilities, and we encourage every person with a disability to be represented in society, in the media and in the clothing industry, without distinction. We do not exclude LGBTQ+s with disability. As a local brand, we are trying to set a precedent for other brands and organizations by joining the Month of Pride, and we believe that our steps will bring positive results.”

It should be noted that on June 12, Kekalove Adaptive brand will hold an online fashion show. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate special clothing designs - adaptive clothing that take into account the needs of people with disabilities. The show will be followed by several panel discussions to highlight key issues for people with disabilities and strengthen dialogue on important issues.
