May 17 message from the Dutch and Finnish embassies

The embassies of Finland in the South Caucasus and the Netherlands in Azerbaijan posted a message on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia on May 17.

The Finnish Embassy in the South Caucasus shared a post from “This is Finland” Facebook page. The post reads: “May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Finland develops the rights of LGBTI people in such international forums as the UN, the EU, the CoE and the OSCE, because we believe human rights are universal and belong to all.”

The Dutch embassy shared a photo of its employees holding an LGBTI + flag on its Facebook page and said: “Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT), and we draw special attention to the importance of equal rights for LGBTIQ+ people worldwide. The Netherlands is strongly committed to the acceptance, safety and emancipation of the LGBTQI+ community because diversity, inclusion, integrity and security are inextricably linked.”
