Türkiye: 11. Pembe Hayat QueerFest

The 11th Pembe Hayat QueerFest completed its first part, which took place in Ankara on September 30 - October 2. Hundreds of queer experiences from around the world and Turkey continued to present a wide variety of queer moods in Istanbul.

In its 11th year, QueerFest left behind its Ankara part, which took place between September 30 and October 2, with film screenings, workshops, theater and party. The festival met with its audience again in Istanbul on 14-16 October.

This year, the 11th Pembe Hayat QueerFest, which started out with the #YasaksaYasak hashtag, opened with a colorful and magnificent program on Friday, September 30 at the Goethe-Institute Ankara with a special screening of Queer Shorts from Türkiye.

Zeliş Deniz Queer Cinema Award goes to Sema Semih.

The 4th Zeliş Deniz Queer Cinema Award, which came to life with the design of Sadi Güran, was given this year to Sema Semih, who has devoted herself to the LGBTI+ movement for many years. Metin Akdemir, who received the award last year, presented the award to Sema Semih.
