Minority Azerbaijan organised Queer Art Workshop

Minority Azerbaijan organised a Queer Art Workshop for the queer community on November 18.

In the first part of the workshop, the artist Özgür Alizade informed the participants about the history of collage art, its types and used techniques. In the second part of the training, the participants prepared collages on the topic of "Self-expression of queers in society" using various available tools. The prepared collages will soon be reflected in the online magazine that will be published on the Minority Azerbaijan website.

Trainer Özgür Alizade studied at the Painting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Art Academy. During her studies, she participated in a number of projects at the Yarat art space and with Esmeralda Studio, where she was an artist.

At an early age, she was awarded the Order of Honor in a joint project of the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Artists. She was a participant and winner of a number of local and international exhibitions. Two of her art-pieces were exhibited in Belarus.

Özgür Alizade has been working as a tattoo artist since 2014. She is also the author of a number of works in the cartoon genre.
