UK ranks among world's least friendly countries for trans people

A survey conducted among 30 countries by Ipsos revealed that the United Kingdom is one of the least supportive countries for trans individuals.

The study, which included responses from 22,514 adults across 30 countries, showed that less than half of the UK population supports gender-affirming care for teens and insurance coverage for transitioning.

Moreover, the UK ranked poorly in terms of recognizing non-binary markers on official documents and allowing trans individuals to use single-sex spaces.

However, a majority of Britons acknowledged discrimination against the trans community and supported protections for them in various areas.
