Ukrainian singer Melovin announces engagement

Melovin— Konstantin Bocharov shared photos with his fiancé taken on Maidan in Kyiv on his Instagram page.

“On Maidan, where Ukraine fought for freedom, I chose mine. Love does not ask for permission. I said ‘yes’. LGBT people are not an ideology. Not an organisation. They are our friends, our loved ones, our defenders, our Ukrainians. Those who stand beside us in battle, in volunteering, in life,” he wrote.

The artist’s fiancé is Petr Zlotya, who serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces as an instructor and paramedic.
