Samir Bagirov shared his thoughts on the concept of "manhood" on the "Qapqara" programme

Singer Samir Bagirov, who was a guest of host Kamran Agabalayev on the "Qapqara" programme broadcast this week, shared his personal views and stated that he does not associate the concept of "manhood" with appearance.

During the program, Kamran Agabalayev recalled an idea he heard in the old "Sovetski" neighborhood of Baku, which reflected the high value placed on Bagirov's personality. Expressing his attitude to this approach, the artist explained the topic in more detail and emphasised that the concept of "manhood" is not measured by clothing, behavior, or physical strength.

Samir Bagirov said in his speech that "manhood is not something that belongs to this body, it depends on the soul," and said that this concept is formed within a person, regardless of how a person dresses, behaves, or chooses a lifestyle.

These ideas voiced in the programme caused extensive discussions on social networks. In the context of debates about gender roles and normative expectations in public space, it is noteworthy that prominent artists have taken an open stance on this issue.

The issue reflects the ongoing debate in society on issues of gender expression, individual freedoms, and respect for human dignity. Such statements on media platforms allow for the visibility of diverse perspectives and influence the formation of public dialogue.
