Aisel Announces New Album "SUBLIMINALS"

Azerbaijani singer Aisel has announced a new era in her musical career with the upcoming release of her album SUBLIMINALS.

In a post shared with fans, the Baku-born artist, who represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with "X My Heart", revealed that the first single from the album, titled "İcazə Ver" (meaning "Allow Me" in Azerbaijani), will be released on May 1.

"A new era begins in my creative work," Aisel wrote, describing SUBLIMINALS as something her audience will hear "very soon."

The announcement marks a notable new chapter for the jazz and soul vocalist, who trained at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory and has performed at prestigious events including the Baku International Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival. 

Aisel was also among the shortlisted candidates in Azerbaijan's 2024 Eurovision selection process, though she was ultimately not chosen to represent the country for a second time.

Further details about the full tracklist and release date for SUBLIMINALS have yet to be revealed. "İcazə Ver" arrives May 1 as the album's lead single.
