Actor Niyaz Novruzov used LGBTQI+phobic language in interview

The interview focused mainly on Novruzov's career at the Baku Children and Youth Theater. However, when talking about his professional "borders" and "complexes", the actor openly switched to rhetoric targeting the LGBTQI+ community.

Novruzov used the term "supreme" to describe queer people. He openly stated that he refused to play any character belonging to the queer community, citing his personal "complexes" and refusal to associate his image with such roles.

Novruzov, apart from his personal choices, advocated for the complete removal of LGBTQI+ topics from public life, saying: "I am not in favor of bringing such characters to the screen or to the theater, or promoting them at all."
