Massachusetts Senate passes bill banning conversion therapy on minors


Next step to be signed into law: the desk of Republican Governor Charlie Baker.

The Massachusetts Senate has passed a bill on 29th of March to banning conversion therapy on minors.

Earlier this month, the Massachusetts House of Representatives approved a similar bill by a 147-8 vote.

The Senate approved the bill by a 34-0 vote.

One of the six Republicans, Senator Patrick O’Connor, voted for the bill. The remaining Senators voted ‘present’.
