Police disrupted LGBTQ+ event in Moscow

Police and SERB activists attended a charity evening in support of LGBTQ+ in Moscow. The organizers announced the disruption of the event.

The police disrupted a charity evening in support of LGBTQ+ "Show me love" in the Moscow art space "Flacon". The organizers of the event reported this in a story on Instagram.

"The police arrived at the site and did not allow the opening of the terrace, which would accommodate all the guests. Then, for a long time, under various pretexts, they did not allow us to let the guests in, but they promised that the issue would be resolved. Now the police officers informally informed the organizers that if they do not stop the event, arrests will begin."

The organizers said they "cannot risk" the guests of the event.

In addition to the police, activists from the pro-Kremlin movements NOD and SERB attended the Show Me Love charity evening, Sota Vision reports. According to the newspaper, they were dressed in the costumes of "emergency psychiatric care."

In April, SERB activists attacked Vitaly Mansky, director and organizer of the Artdokfest film festival. In addition, they tried to disrupt the screenings of festival films. The police and Rospotrebnadzor also have complaints about Artdokfest. Because of them, the festival screenings in St. Petersburg had to be canceled.
