The vegan picnic that was intended to be held as part of Pride Week events was banned for the second time.

The picnic planned to be held in Heybeliada today was prevented by the police threatening the owner of the venue and the 29th Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week Committee moved the picnic to Maçka Park in Beşiktaş at 17.00.

Before the event, the area around the park was surrounded by the police. The 29th Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Line Committee shared on social media, "The 'officials' from Şişli also emulated the Islanders and banned our picnic. It was not enough, they banned all activities we would do within the borders of Şişli for 30 days."
