Transphobic attack in Sumgayit

There was an attack on a trans woman in Sumgayit on 22 September. The event took place in Kristal market near the buildings of Kristal Absheron. When the trans woman and her partner entered the store, the store's cashier and two other people identified her as a trans and attacked them. They claimed that the trans people were "spreading immorality."

As a result of the attack, the trans woman's partner was injured.

The incident was reported to the police. The case is being investigated by the Sumgayit 3rd police station.
