May 17 message from the UN

UN Resident Coordinator for Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva posted a message on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia on May 17.

Vladanka Andreeva quoted the tweet of Secretary-General of the UN Antonio Guterres that reads “We need to combat violence against LGBTIQ+ people and uphold their human rights: Outlaw harmful practices. Provide justice & support to victims. End persecution, discrimination & criminalization”. In her quoted tweet she mentioned: “Today, on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia, and Transphobia, and every day, we stand with all #LGBTIQ+ people to promote their rights, and celebrate their diversity, courage and resilience.”
