Response from Baku City Executive Power to feminists

The organising committee of the "8 March - We Want to Live" march sent a notification letter to the executive power about the march.

On March 6, the executive power responded to the letter. Baku City Executive Power did not consider the "8 March - We Want to Live" march to be purposeful. The organising committee of the march provided information about this matter.

"As an organising committee, we declare that the freedom of assembly has been provided to us by the constitution and we will exercise this right," the organising committee said in a statement on the march's Facebook page.

"Although our desire to live does not conform to the goals of Baku City Executive Power, it is our fundamental right!"
