Mansur Yavaş supports LGBTQI+ rights

Ankara Mayor and Vice Presidential candidate for the opposition alliance - Millet Ittifaki, Mansur Yavaş, spoke out about LGBTQI+ rights during a recent TV program.

Yavaş stated that no government should interfere in someone's sexual orientation or preferences, and criticised Interior Minister Soylu's recent comments about the community.

Yavaş also revealed that he shares the same views as President Erdogan did in 2002, questioning why the President's stance had changed.

Yavaş suggested that the President's current views are influenced by his desire to gain votes by appealing to religious sentiments.
