Gender Resource Center celebrated its 3rd anniversary.

Gender Resource Center is a queer-feminist platform established in 2020. The center was founded in response to the need for a safe space and resource accessibility for individuals with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations in Azerbaijan. The initiative sees changing power dynamics as a fundamental value to dismantle existing cultures of violence and patriarchy. Key principles of the GRC include ensuring accessibility and transparency, environmental sensitivity, zero tolerance for violence and discrimination.

To discuss the achievements of the past three years and future activities to ensure equitable access to resources for queer and LGBTQI+ communities, Gender Resource Center organized an event on June 29th for mutual empowerment among different organizations. The event was attended by representatives from LGBTQI+ and feminist communities, as well as various independent initiatives. GRC members spoke about the organization's activities over the past three years, the challenges they have faced, and their goals for the future. Subsequently, questions from the attendees were addressed, and the event continued in an informal setting.
