Recommendations for the Universal Periodic Review - Anonymous Survey

In November of this year, the evaluation of Azerbaijan's fourth cycle under the framework of the Universal Periodic Review, one of the most reputable mechanisms for monitoring human rights by the United Nations Organization, will take place.

From a perspective of public representation, this mechanism of the UN serves as a significant platform worldwide to highlight human rights violations against LGBTI+ individuals, demand accountability from Member States undergoing scrutiny, and provide relevant recommendations for improvement.

Just as in 2018, Nafas LGBTI Azerbaijan Alliance aims to participate in the Universal Periodic Review process once again, focusing on conducting a public representation campaign around crucial societal issues. Based on collaboration between society and representation experiences, the organization has formulated 13 recommendations spanning 7 interconnected directions.

Through this survey, Nafas LGBTI Azerbaijan Alliance invites you to evaluate each of these recommendations separately, considering their necessity with varying degrees of importance. At the end of the survey, respondents can also provide suggestions related to other significant matter(s) that, while not contradicting these recommendations, are important for the advocacy of the community.

The survey is anonymous and can be filled out here.
