First panel discussion of Transgender Remembrance Week

Nafas LGBTI Azerbaijan Alliance has successfully completed the first panel discussion of Transgender Remembrance Week.

At the meeting held on November 11, Nafas LGBTI with the participation of Miray Deniz, Alex Shah, Aykhan Osmanli and the moderation of Ali Malikov, the panelists talked about the socio-economic discrimination experiences of the trans community, their lack of legal protection, structural and social transphobia, and as a result, the power of resistance of the alienated and isolated trans community.

Nafas LGBTI said on its social media account that their goal was "to hear from them how our trans comrades, who are one of the most vulnerables of our community, are subjected to discrimination, violence, intimidation, and hate speech."
