Hungary continues to follow Russia's homophobia

In Hungary, a criminal case was opened after a protest against the authorities’ decision to limit access to exhibits in an ethnographic museum due to “LGBT propaganda” towards minors.

The organisers of the action were accused of holding an “uncoordinated” demonstration. The students claim that the museum had no reason to ban the action, since they did not violate the rules of public behavior, but were simply expressing their civil opinion.

Previously, the Hungarian Ethnographic Museum restricted access to the exhibition for minors due to a photograph of two bare-chested men. At the moment, the work of artist Claudia Andújar is separated by a sign in Hungarian and English, which indicates that this part is only suitable for adult visitors.
