Russia consolidated “traditional values” in education
In the Russian State Duma, deputies adopted in the third and final reading a bill that enshrines adherence to traditional spiritual and moral values in the education system.
Thus, the deputies decided to consolidate the “principle of the humanistic nature” of education. At the same time, it is specified that humanism will be followed in education, which corresponds to “traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”
In addition, this law establishes that teachers will be required to form in schoolchildren and students “a sense of patriotism, respect for law and order, working people and the older generation.”
