Trans woman was attacked in Yerevan

On June 14, a trans woman was attacked in her own apartment in Yerevan. This was reported by Trans*Coalition.

The woman was a sex worker and the attacker made an appointment with her. When the man came to her home, he attacked her with a knife and caused physical harm. The woman managed to run out onto the balcony and call for help, after which the attacker left the apartment.

The survivor immediately called the police, the department opened a criminal case and she was recognised as a victim.

The incident was reported by the trans* human rights organisation Right Side NGO.
