Feminist activist Rauf Heydarov has been detained

Feminist activist Rauf Heydarov was administratively detained yesterday, March 10, following an attempt on March 8 of this year to display a poster in front of the Natavan statue. He was found guilty under Articles 510 and 535.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and has been sentenced to 30 days of administrative detention.

At the court, it was reported that Rauf Heydarov committed minor hooliganism by loudly using obscene expressions on his phone in the street and subsequently deliberately refused to comply with the police's lawful request.

In court, Rauf Heydarov denied the charges and stated that two police officers approached him near the “Azadlıq” metro station, inviting him to the 5th Binagadi police department, and that he went with them without any objection
