TV Host Rovshana Agasafgizi: “I wouldn’t go to a female surgeon, I trust men more.”
On a new episode of the programme Qapqara, guest host Rovshanə Agasafgizi drew attention with her sexist remarks.
The show discussed gender equality, tensions in male–female relationships, and other related topics. Rovshana Agasafgizi said:
“People will criticise me, but if I had a serious health problem, I would choose a male surgeon over a female one. I trust men more. I feel like a man would act more decisively.”
These comments sparked mixed reactions on social media. During the programme, Rovshana Agasafgizi also made other misogynistic statements, claiming that when a woman is alone, she resorts to any means to attract attention. Instead of investing in her personal development, she said, such women spend more on beauty salons and cosmetic surgeries.
