Lush Cosmetics launches trans flag bath bomb

Lush Cosmetics has created a trans flag bath bomb for charity.

Named the ‘Liberation Bath Bomb’, the limited-edition product launched in Lush stores across Australia and online on 10 September.

75% of all proceeds will go directly to TransHub, a groundbreaking digital platform “for trans and gender diverse people, their loved ones and health providers,” operated by LGBTQIA+ health organisation ACON.

This comes after the Queensland Government paused access to gender-affirming healthcare for new patients under 18, a decision widely criticised by healthcare professionals and LGBTQIA+ advocates.

Jessielee Pearce, Advocacy and Activism Executive at Lush, said in a statement: “We cannot stand by while misinformation about the trans and gender-diverse community goes unchallenged.

We are honoured to uplift the essential work of TransHub. Their expertise and advocacy are crucial in creating a safer, more inclusive Australia for all.”

In a climate of growing transphobia and shrinking DEI initiatives, Lush has doubled down on its commitment to trans rights — partnering with UK organisations TransActual and My Generation, and launching a Gender Affirming Care policy that provides transition leave and support for employees.
