Khalid shows off his “fully liberated” side in “Out of Body” music video

American singer Khalid has released his new single “Out of Body.” The second single from the singer’s upcoming fourth studio album, “After the Sun Goes Down,” is a club-friendly track that combines 2000s R&B and dance sounds with production by Darkchild.

Lyrically, “Out of Body” is about Khalid’s intense feelings for his love interest — so much so that he says he feels “out of his body.”

“This is me in my fully liberated element,”⁠ Khalid said in a statement.

The song was released after the album’s first single, “In Plain Sight.” “After the Sun Goes Down” will be released on October 10.

The singer’s sexuality came out to the public against his will in November 2024. Khalid later confirmed this on social media, sharing: “And the world still continues to turn… I am not ashamed of my sexuality.”⁠
