Azerbaijani director’s film to screen at Oslo Fusion Film Festival

A short film titled "Guilty for Being" by Azerbaijani director Rana Ahmad will be screened at Norway's Oslo Fusion Film Festival. Oslo Fusion is the only film festival in Norway dedicated to stories from the LGBTQI+ community.

The 10-minute film is in Azerbaijani and features English subtitles. According to the film's synopsis, the protagonist faces pressure and threats simply for being queer: "In a society where national, moral, and traditional values are often prioritized over individual lives, minorities are forced to conform to the majority."

The film will be screened on September 19, 2026, at 15:30 at the Cinemateket (Lillebil Hall) in Oslo, as part of the festival's "Horizon Expanded" program.
