The former president of Moldova fears for the future of children due to “LGBT propaganda”

Former President of Moldova, leader of the largest opposition Party of Socialists, Igor Dodon, accused head of state Maia Sandu and the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (Partidul Acțiune și Solidaritate) of “destroying” family values and promoting “LGBT propaganda” in educational institutions.

“I am against LGBT propaganda in our schools. I am against my children being told about this in class. There is nothing to talk about with Sandu on this topic, but I am very interested in whether Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean want this for their children? I’m 100% sure that no,” Dodon said on Exclusiv TV.

According to the 2023 Rainbow Map of ILGA-Europe, Moldova ranks 24th among 49 European countries with a score of 39% for LGBTQI+ rights.
