Sade's transgender son wrote a letter to her

When he finally got home on Wednesday after six months spent in recovery from bottom surgery, Izaak Theo Adu, son of the legendary soul singer Sade, posted a joyous Instagram post thanking his mom for always supporting him.

In the post, which features Adu and his mother hugging in a restaurant, he wrote, “It’s been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home!!!!”

“Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma,” the 23-year-old said. “Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart, I love you so much Queen of queens.”
