Collaborative public performances demonstrated in Baku as part of a joint partnership between Gender Hub Azerbaijan and ADO

A collaborative public performance was held in Baku yesterday, March 6, as part of a joint partnership between Gender Hub Azerbaijan and ADO to support women.

The collaborative public performances "Ay bəri bax, bəri bax" and "Qadın səsi" incorporated existing experiences and traumas with traditional constructions that are invisible between women's public and private life activities.

According to the organisers, "the performances brought to the streets various patriarchal and domestic mediums, publicising the identities of women in society."

The collaborative public performances "Ay bəri bax, bəri bax" and "Qadın səsi" were shown on one of the central streets of Baku and the performances were videotaped. According to the ADO Theater, the videos will be broadcast in the upcoming days.

"The director of the performance  "Ay bəri bax, bəri bax" is the actress of the ADO theater Iskra Tarrant, and the director of the performance "Qadın səsi" is Elsa Furtado," - the ADO theater said.

ADO - Azerbaijan Scattered Room Theater was founded in 2013 by Elmin Badalov.

GHA - Gender Hub Azerbaijan is a platform for joint work to create equality by covering public issues in order to prevent violence against women and girls.
