Feminist/queer poetry and meditation evening

An evening of feminist/queer poetry and meditation organised by Nisa Hajiyeva took place in Baku yesterday, October 2.

Participants of the event read Mahsati Ganjavi's queer rubais, poems by Bahar Zamanova, Vera Polozkova, Angela Davis and other authors about women. After each poem, its content was discussed. Participants shared women and queers experiences of theirs, and talked about their daily struggles and motivations.

Later, meditation was held with Sufi whirling accompanied by music.
