Esmira Haziyeva is studying at the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature. She says that while going to the university toilet, her groupmates mocked her and joked about the rape. They later admitted that they had ridiculed Esmira for her posts about feminism.

"I said, 'Why are you makig jokes about raping me in the toilet? Why don't you leave me alone? And he said I do what I want, why do you write the word "sex" on instagram. (I write posts and poems about feminism). Everyone in the group was a witness. He didn't admit it on the phone before, but he said that he was justifying himself by my feminist positions in the group."

According to Esmira, although she complained to the dean's office, no action was taken. The student, who did not feel well psychologically, even thought about not going to university for a while. However, with the support of her friends, she changed her mind.

After the incident became public on social networks, she said she was invited to the dean's office.
