March 8 call from Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week: We are not silent, we are not afraid, we are not obeying!

“We know that the liberation of women and queers will liberate everyone, we are meeting in Taksim on March 8, 19.30!”

Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week called for the March 8 Feminist Night March. “We are against public morality, we are ignorant, we are hesitant, we are the society itself and we are the subject of feminism!” said Pride Week, and invited everyone to meet in Taksim on March 8, 19.30.

The call states:

We are coming together for the 20th time this year at the 8 March Feminist Night March, which is held every year in Taksim. Because feminism is against discrimination, paternalism, racism, status, capitalism, regardless of what it is trans/non-trans, obvious or vague; We know that you are on the side of the disadvantaged.
We know that we are the subject of feminism from the very beginning, that we are strengthened and healed side by side, that LGBTI+phobia and misogyny are fed from the same place, we are not afraid of men, the state, or genital guards!
We are against public morality, we are ignorant, we are hesitant, we are the society itself and we are the subject of feminism!
I'm queer and I'm here in spite of masculine violence and domination!
We defend self-defense, peace, nonviolence against nationalism, wars! In spite of police violence, gender cops, we embrace our existence and each other! We are meeting in the field against genital guards, transphobics, homophobics, biphobics and aphobics!
We know that the liberation of women and queers will liberate everyone, we are meeting in Taksim on March 8, 19.30!
