MIL Feminism School

MIL Feminism School is a public project organised within the MIL Network to educate young people about feminism. The main goal of the project is to create a platform for sharing knowledge and discussing feminist theory, various branches and waves of feminism, and feminist movements in Azerbaijan and neighbouring countries for those who want to learn more about feminism and participate in discussions. The following topics will be discussed within the project framework:

Feminism as a socio-political movement and its stages of development

Postcolonial feminism and the instrumentalization of feminism in global politics

Feminism in Azerbaijan - transversal feminism

Feminism in Turkey and Iran

Feminism in the South Caucasus

Anarcho-feminism and examples of communal living

The manager and facilitator of the MIL Feminism School project is Fatima Ismayilova, a member of the MIL Network. Fatima I. is currently studying for a master's degree in social sciences at Humboldt University and researching the feminist movement in Azerbaijan.

People aged 18-30 who want to participate in discussions about feminism can apply to the MIL Feminism School project. Participants will be selected through an application form and interview. The program will be held online via the Zoom platform. Participation is free of charge.
