Two gay men were attacked in Australia

Two gay men were left bloodied and injured after being attacked in what is being described as a homophobic assault in Perth, Western Australia.

Adrian Lea and Meredith DC were assaulted in the early hours of Sunday, April 9 while walking through Northbridge. Lea suffered a fractured nose while both men were left bleeding after the attack.

A friend of the pair, Llisa Lewis, posted about the incident on Facebook, describing the attackers as "low life, insecure scumbags who are filled with hate." Lewis expressed her hope that the culprits are charged for their actions.
