Russia wants to ban all trans healthcare

Russia has given initial approval to a bill that would ban gender-affirming healthcare and gender recognition.

The proposed legislation aims to prevent medical interventions for changing gender and altering gender markers on official documents. It will now proceed to Russia's lower house of parliament for further readings.

The bill follows similar efforts in the US and expands on Russia's existing LGBTQ+ "propaganda" law.
