Human rights group “Delo LGBT+” ceased its work

Human rights initiative “Delo LGBT+” ceased work in Russia. The organization announced this on its own social networks.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation recognised the “international public movement of LGBT people” as an extremist organisation. In this regard, the human rights initiative “Delo LGBT+” announced the cessation of its activities in Russia.

The project team constantly defended queer people in the courts and in the police departments, provided legal advice on a variety of issues, and also provided support to LGBTI+ organisations that worked in Russia.
