The Femkulis page has been hacked twice and deleted
The Femkulis platform, which regularly publishes feminism and LGBTQIA + content, was hacked for the first time on April 23. According to Sanay Yagmur, one of the page's administrators, there were attempts to hack her and another administrator, Ali Malikov's Facebook accounts several times that day. Then Sanay Yagmur's account was logged in, a person named Ilgar Abbasov was appointed admin on the page and the platform's Facebook account was completely deleted.
After this incident, the administrators were not able to fully restore the page, but managed to have it bacl. However, two days after the incident, on April 26, the page was deleted again due to repeated interference.
Sanay Yagmur says the attack was not accidental:
"I have taken took the necessary security measures to protect my account, and it would not be easy for an ordinary person to hach them. At the same time, Femkulis was hacked on the same day as the "Student Demand" page, which shares student rights. This is a sign that the attacks were not carried out by any group, but by an organization.
I would like to note that in many of the posts on the page, we emphasise the women murders, LGBTQI+ phobia, violence and discrimination against women, and criticise the government. This may worry some government agencies. That's why they mighg hack the page twice and delete all the posts. "
