Hateful statement from Tale Bagirzade

The leader of the Muslim Union Movement (MBH), Tale Bagirzadeh, made a phobic speech against the LBGTI+ community. He called members of the community "immoral and sick-minded."

Journalist Nurlan Gahramanli addressed the following questions to Tale Bagirzadeh's official Facebook page:

"Recently, the number of homophobia, transphobia and gender-based violence in the country has increased. How does the chairperson of the MBH react to these? Can LGBTIQ+ individuals become members of the MHB? Can you demand any additional conditions from them if they become members? Have you witnessed violence against LGBTIQ+ individuals? If so, how have you reacted to these incidents?"

The MBH leader answered the questions as follows:

"Our attitude towards these types of beings, which are unequivocally a stain on the moral spirit of a healthy society and which we consider even more degrading than depraved women, is unequivocally negative. We are very sorry that you call the name of a movement strengthened by the blessed blood of our martyrs by this group of immoral and sick-minded people. As for the prison, they are not human beings, but faceless creatures who sell their humanity for pleasure."
