In Astrakhan a woman was fined for depicting a “rainbow”.
A court in Astrakhan fined Oksana Savich for publishing photographs recognized as “LGBT symbols”
The Astrakhan Kirovsky District Court accused Oksana Savich of publicly “demonstrating extremist symbols.” The reason for drawing up the administrative protocol was the pictures posted on VKontakte. The SOVA research center drew attention to the court ruling.
According to the published resolution, Oksana Savich posted pictures with “extremist symbols” on social networks. At the same time, the court also classified an image called “Rainbow” as such symbolism. According to the court, this picture was “a photographic image of the symbols of an extremist international LGBT association.”
