LGBTI+ activists filed a criminal complaint against the massacre call in Eskişehir
“Today we are filing a criminal complaint against those who are preparing a murder with calls for massacre. We will do our best to punish the perpetrators and those who protect them.”
LGBTI+ activists and LGBTI+ rights defender lawyers filed a criminal complaint against anonymous leaflets mentioning the murder of homosexuals in Eskişehir, KaosGL reported.
Rights defenders, who came together to file a criminal complaint against the unsigned brochure "Explaining the illegality of the Livata incident with verses and hadiths", which includes a call for the killing of LGBTI+s in Eskişehir, also made a statement in front of the Eskişehir Courthouse.
The mob, which even covets the right to life of LGBTI+s, continues to spread hate on the streets today.
Mati Solak read the statement on behalf of the LGBTI+ activists who filed a criminal complaint. Solak started his statement by reminding the 17th of May, the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia, and said, "As it is known, a leaflets were distributed in this city stating that the murder of LGBTI+s by burning them was obligatory. This is a hate crime. We know that these unsigned leaflets were distributed by reactionary, jihadist gangs. The mob, which even covets LGBTI+s' right to life, continues to spread hate on the streets today.”
