“The European Union stands with all LGBTIs and will not compromise”

On May 17, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia, the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, made a declaration. 

The declaration draws attention to the current situation of the human rights of LGBTI+s, what needs to be done to improve them, and the violence faced by LGBTI+s in Ukraine. 

"We will continue to speak up for the human rights of LGBTI persons," High Representative Borrell said in the declaration.

Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan shared the declaration by the High Representative Josep Borrell on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia on May 17. 

The EU Delegation to Azerbaijan also raised the LGBTI+ flag in its office in the Landmark building.
